Blairgowrie and Rattray Town Event for All
Date: Tuesday 27 February
A showcase event to find out what all is going on in the east Perthshire town is set to return this year following a hugely successful inaugural event in 2022.
The event, which will take place on Saturday, May 25th and is open to the public from 1.30pm to 4pm in Blairgowrie Town Hall, is being organised by Blairgowrie and Rattray Development Trust (BRDT) and is offering community groups, event organisers and associations in Blairgowrie and Rattray the chance to highlight all the great work they are doing.
Lesley McDonald, operations officer with BRDT said:
“This year’s town event, will have six themed areas in the hall, reflecting the aspirations highlighted in the town’s community action plan, with representatives from the groups and organisations on hand to chat with visitors to the event and provide further information on their activities. The themed areas will be community and recreation, environment, arts and culture, heritage, tourism and the local economy.
This is a free event with tea, coffee, and cake available.
So, whether you are interested in simply finding out what’s going on in our town, supporting the development of the town, coaching young people in sporting activities, crocheting with like-minded people over a cuppa or delivering soup with the Saturday Lunch Club, we’re sure there is an activity that will appeal to you!”
Anyone who is interested in finding out more about the event, including what support the Trust is able to offer those taking part, should contact the Trust by emailing admin@discoverblairgowrie.co.uk before Monday, April 1st, 2024 for further details. .
